Tottenham fear Christian Eriksen has serious stomach injury
Denmark coach Age Hareide delivered the news during an interview with Canal 9 and said that Spurs are "concerned" by the issue affecting their star midfielder.
Tottenham are worried about an injury to Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to his national team coach Age Hareide.
Speaking to Danish broadcaster Canal 9 ahead of his side’s Nations League game against Ireland and subsequent friendly against Austria, Hareide explained that Eriksen “has a problem with his abdominal muscle and Tottenham have informed us that it could be long-term.”
Eriksen could have "chronic" issue, says Hareide
Asked if he was referring to a layoff of weeks or months by the Canal 9 reporter, Hareide replied: “I really don’t know. That is something our doctor will have to determine. Such an injury can be chronic, and it is true that Tottenham are worried about that.”
Eriksen played the full 90 minutes in Spurs' opening six Premier League games of the season but has since missed four fixtures since his last appearance on September 22, in the Champions League, the EFL Cup and two league games.
