Neymar wants a Barcelona return
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian forward continues to send signals towards the directors about PSG not fulfilling his desired objectives.
Only two years after leaving the Camp Nou, Neymar is insisting on a return to FC Barcelona. This is the story featured in Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
Neymar reunited with Barça?
It is not the first time the Brazilian has done this, according to Mundo. He regularly talks to people close to the Catalan club about his desire to get the blaugrana colours back on. And as we at AS reported not long ago, Neymar's representatives had called Robert Fernandez on several occasions. The former technical secretary of the club, who took great interest in the contact made, was unable to complete the operation.
Neymar wants to return, but if it is to happen then it will be far from simple. Several factors come into play to make it possible. First, the manager and technical team would have to agree that he was a necessary part of the plan. Second, PSG would have to be convinced (a significant part of this likely to be the responsibility of the footballer himself). And third, Barça would have to spend an absolute fortune (almost impossible for the club right now) and find a way to restore the image of a much-detested player in the eyes of many fans who despised the way he fled to Paris.
A new chapter in the Neymar soap opera
The player's representatives maintain their question: "what does he have to do to return to Barça?", with the understanding that any operation with PSG would be very good for them financially, if not from a sporting perspective. In addition to this, we must also remember that Neymar's father was apparently entitled to a 26-million-euro bonus when his son renewed in 2016, an amount that FC Barcelona did not agree to pay, a disagreement that will be decided by the courts. And the talks around a move to Real Madrid instead...?
All this opens a new chapter in the Neymar soap opera. The idea of returning to be with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez at the Camp Nou - the iconic MSN trident - with his lingering words: "the greatness of Barça, the best club in the world". He and his associates are insisting on returning the reports say. And Barça no longer see this as mission impossible, although it is certainly a complicated one.
