Gareth Bale can see the light after training with the Real Madrid group on Thursday. The Welsh footballer, who returned to the Spanish capital on Monday suffering from a problem with his groin, worked with his teammates and could play on Saturday afternoon against Levante in LaLiga. This comes after missing training with the group earlier in the week. There are still just two days left before the game and a lot depends on how he feels but with the Clásico on the horizon, it is good news that he is back training.

If he does participate in the game against Levante, it would be a return to play for the Welshman at the Bernebeu for the first time in 21 days since he left the Atlético Madrid game at half-time. After that, he missed the Spartak Moscow trip and while a scan revealed no injury, he came off against Alavés after 80 minutes. After missing the Wales game against Spain, he missed the Ireland game and returned to Madrid with what was called "muscular fatigue".

Real Madrid did not like the fact that he travelled to Wales but they did ask Giggs and his staff not to take any risks. In the end he returned without playing a single minute and the rest seems to have helped.

Lopetegui recovered the rest of his international players along with Isco, Marcelo and Karim Benzema, who are eyeing a return to action against Levante. Keylor Navas worked in the gym after a long trans-atlantic flight and Carvajal continues with his recovery. Javi Sánchez, Alberto, Jaume, Feuillassier and Fidalgo all worked with the team too.
