As is the tradition with the current format, the lower leagues sides from 2B and 3a face the LaLiga sides involved in European competition with the "big two" of the Spanish game Real Madrid and FC Barcelona drawing Cultural Leonesa and UD Melilla respectively.
The sole third division (fourth tier of the Spanish league system) Sant Andreu were pitted against Atletico Madrid with the other Champions League representative from Spain Valencia drawn against CD Ebro.
First ties will take place on October 31 with the return legs on December 5th.

Thanks for your time this morning and stay with AS English for all reaction and comment after today's draw. Cheers ; )
Who can dethrone cup experts FC Barcelona? with the Catalan side winning the past four Copa del Rey titles.
....and don't forget the final for this season's tournament climaxes on May 25th with the grand final in a venue TBC.
The following Round of 16 will take place in the first two weeks of Jan. 2019 with the draw date to be confirmed.
Don't forget that these ties are set for October 31 (first leg) with the smaller side always hosting the bigger team (position wise) and the games between LaLiga sides as per the draw. Return legs are scheduled for December 5. (Exact dates will be confirmed when the consultation process with the television rights holders is concluded).
Which leaves .... Celta with the Galician side facing R.Sociedad
2 games to go, 4 balls left ... Rayo Vallecano still in the draw. And it's Leganes who face Rayo
Next out is Athletic Club from Bilbao, the Basques face SD Huesca. Next draw is Alaves vs. Girona.
Next out we have: Cordoba (final 2A side ) and the Andalucian outfit face Getafe.
Sporting Gijon vs. Eibar / Lugo vs. Levante UD / Mallorca vs Valladolid
Almeria v Villarreal / Cadiz v Espanyol
So Villarreal are the only side in European competition not to be drawn yet and they will be pitted agaisnt one of the six Segunda clubs with that part of the draw imminent.
Villanovense next out and the Extremadura side face Sevilla. Racing Santander next out of the hat and the Cantabrian side face Betis.
So recap: The 4 Champions Leagues sides have been drawn: Cultural-Barcelona / S.Andreu-Atleti / Ebro-Valencia and Mellila vs R.Madrid
Ebro will play their games at Zaragoza's ground as Sant Andreu are next out and will play Atletico Madrid. Melila next and face Real Madrid.
next out ..... CD Ebro and the Aragon based side will face Valencia
So game number 1 is: Cultural Leonesa vs. FC Barcelona (remember 31/10 - 05/12 are the provisonal dates for these Round of 32 ties)
and they face FC Barcelona !
Remember these names ... Sant Andreu, CD Ebro, Villanovense, Mellila, Racing Santander and Cultural.... and it's Cultural who come out
We're live in Las Rozas.... unlike the smoothly run UEFA draws there is a fair bit of bluster about the Spanish FA draws with excessive amounts of explanation and reaction so stick with us and we'll ride this wave togehter !
Shots of dressing rooms from around the country as the smaller sides are anxious with anticipation .....
May 25th 2019 is the date for the Copa del Rey final ...where will it be staged I hear you ask !!!! The perennial question .....
Much has been said and written about the current format of the Copa del Rey with new FA President Luis Rubiales maintaining that he plans to reconfigure the format when the current television deal expires (season after this). Many would welcome a one-off game and certainly the "magic of the cup" would benefit offering the prospect of shocks and upsets.
The remaining European side from the seven will be pitted against one of the six 2A sides in the round of 32 (Mallorca, Cordoba, Sporting, Almeria, Cadiz and Lugo). The remaining five segunda teams face a top flight side with remaining LaLiga sides facing each other.... Hope that's clear ; )
As you know (or maybe not) this is not a straight draw: The 6 teams from 2B/3A will be pitted against one of the seven LaLiga sides in European competition (R.Madrid-Barça-Atleti, Valencia, Sevilla, Betis & Villarreal) in a two legged tie.
Games for the Round of 32 or the fourth round if you prefer take place on October 31 with the return leg on December 5th* (exact dates will be determined by television networks)
Less than 30 minutes to go before the draw at Las Rozas, home of the Spanish FA. All around the country the 5 x 2B sides along with the sole 3a representattive Sant Andreu will be brimming with excitement ahead of the draw.
