The Thai junior football team who last July were rescued from a flooded cave after being trapped for more than two weeks, trained with Los Angeles Galaxy and their star striker Zlatan Ibrahimvoic on Friday, reported AFP.

The team, named the ‘Wild Boars’, are currently on a world tour that earlier this month took them to the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires.

The twelve Thai youngsters, aged between 11 and 16, along with their 25-year-old coach, were retrieved from the Tham Luang cave complex after a dramatic rescue effort.

The emergency procedure claimed the life of a rescue diver, former Thai Navy SEAL Saman Kunan.

Ibrahimovic: “This is probably the best team in the world”

The ‘Wild Boars’ were given a tour of Galaxy’s StubHub Center stadium before training with members of the team at a nearby pitch.

The visit was set up by US television presenter Ellen DeGeneres, who hosted the team on her show last Monday.

Former Sweden international Ibrahimovic had also appeared as a surprise guest to meet the team.

'I thought I was brave, but these kids, this team, are braver than me... This is probably the best team in the world,' the 37-year-old striker said.
