Real Madrid meet with 'Grada Fans' to stop anti-Ramos protest
A club director met with representatives of the most boisterous Real Madrid fan group who were planning a protest aimed at the players on Saturday.
Real Madrid directors held a emergency meeting with members of the Grada Fans supporters section of the Santiago Bernabeu in a bid to force the collective to postpone a planned protest against the players and especially Sergio Ramos during Saturday's home game. Cadena Ser's El Larguero radio show reported that two members representing the fan group met with club officials with the worry that any protest fro their sector would be replicated by other areas of the ground.
'This is the team that won the Champions League. Now that things are bad we need a active support section to get behind the side more than ever. Remaining silent is not an option', was the message transmitted by the club to the leaders of the supporter collective.
Many members of the "Grada de Animación" are disappointed with the display at Camp Nou on Sunday and especially frustrated with Sergio Ramos in the way he reprimanded Casemiro for his frank analysis straight after the game in a post match flash interview.
The Grada Fans are now looking at alternative methods of protest and are looking at not occupying their seats as Madrid welcome Valladolid next Saturday in LaLiga as one way of transmitting their displeasure with the way club business is being handled presently both on and off the pitch.
