In the end the proposed protest from the Grada Fans collective amounted to a banner and a two minute silent protest.

After the team's recent poor displays which resulted in the dismissal of Basque coach Julen Lopetegui following a humiliating 5-1 loss in last Sunday's El Clasico, the active support group were planning ways of channelling their frustration with the attitude of the players with Sergio Ramos' name singled out. A club representative met with two members of the group in a bid to dissuade the supporters from creating a negative atmosphere at the Bernabeu.

Ahead of today's LaLiga game against Valladolid, the group displayed a banner which read: ‘Por este escudo hay que morir en la grada y en el campo” (For this club badge, one has to die on the pitch and in the stands). This was followed by silence from the south stand for a period of two minutes.
