REAL MADRID
Nacho set to miss 2018 FIFA Club World Cup
The defender has damaged knee ligaments with Casemiro set to recover just in time for the Club World Cup which starts on December 12.
Casemiro and Nacho underwent respective tests this morning to determine the nature of the injuries both players sustained at Balaidos as Real Madrid overcame Celta Vigo 2-4 in LaLiga.
Real Madrid stated via an official communique that the Spain international has suffered a "dis-insertion of the internal collateral ligament in the right knee", with Brazilian Casemiro suffering a "bruising of the right ankle and syndemosis". The league club failed to add an expected term of absence for both players merely stating that club medics would evaluate their evolution.
Nacho, however is expected to be ruled out of match action for approximately two months with Casemiro set to miss roughly a month of action with a recovery time from a syndemosis (high ankle sprain) injury more difficult to evaluate.
