Ronaldo and Georgina drop €31,000 on wine in 15 minutes in London
During a short break in London to see the ATP Finals, Ronaldo and partner Georgina splashed out 31,000 euros on two bottles of wine at the exclusive Scott's restaurant in Mayfair.
With Cristiano Ronaldo not joining up with Portugal for the international break this week, the Juventus star enjoyed a trip to London with partner Georgina Rodriguez. And the pair had a full itinerary during their short break in the English capital, perhaps financially beyond the reach of most regular tourists.
After watching the ATP Finals tennis match between Novak Djokovic and John Isner on Monday, Ronaldo surprised Georgina, a life-long ballet fan, with a trip to the Royal Opera House to see La Bayadera ballet on Tuesday night. “My dreams have come true… thanks my love,” wrote the model on her Instagram accompanying a photo of herself at the famous opera house.
World's most expensive wine
Ronaldo and Georgina stayed at the luxury Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge, where a room sets guests back more than 10,000 euros per night. But that was not the biggest single expense the pair had during their stay in the English capital.
While at the exclusive Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair, which specializes in seafood, Ronaldo dropped more than 31,000 euros in wine in just 15 minutes for him and his party, according to reports in the British media.
First up was a bottle of Richebourg Grand Cru. At 20,000 euros a bottle, the vintage French red is considered the world’s most expensive wine and does not even appear on the restaurant’s menu. After that, the couple ordered a 1982 Pomerol Petrus, which costs more than 10,000 euros a bottle, before heading off to catch the ATP Finals game on Monday.
