Moussa Wagué, Barcelona's trump card for the right wing
The Senegalese right-back, a regular for Barça B, put in a superb performance for the reserves last weekend. He's in line to step up to the first team in the near future.
Barcelona have their hopes pinned on Senegalese defender Moussa Wagué, who is in line to step up to the first team in the near future. The 20-year-old right-back became the youngest African player to score in the World Cup finals, when he put Senegal into the lead in their second group game against Japan in June. Club Technical Secretary Ramón Planes has earmarked the player to strengthen the right wing in the senior side in the medium term. Wagué joined the Blaugranas from Belgian side KAS Eupen in August
Making waves with the reserves
Wagué, who gained plaudits for his impressive performance against Cornellà at the weekend, also believe his graduation to Barça's first team is drawing near. He told SER Catalunya: "This is a transition year, I came here to play for the first team - that's my dream".
