Sevilla to buy André Silva outright from Milan for 38 million euros
Joaquín Caparrós confirmed that the Spanish club will exercise their option to secure the Portuguese striker on a permanent deal, paying Milan 38 million euros.
There have been few if any doubts about André Silva at Sevilla and Director of Football Joaquín Caparrós has taken it upon himself to make the club's stance clear. In a somewhat strange interview with ex-sevillista Antoñito, Caparrós confirmed that the club will pay the 38 million euros corresponding to the purchase option Sevilla have with the Portuguese forward.
Sevilla to buy André Silva before end of the season
"We have all of the player's rights and the preferential option to ensure he stays with us. Milan can say what they like. Other clubs also want the player. By the end of the current season if not earlier, we will exercise our right to buy André Silva outright. The player will be handed a contract for several seasons. Sevilla fans can relax because we have the arrangement pretty much tied up", Caparrós said today.
André Silva joined Sevilla over the summer following the club's unsuccessful attempt at landing Michy Batshuayi. Comparing how the two players have fared so far this season - Silva at the Sánchez Pizjuan and Batshuayi at Valencia, it seems that the sourthern side have come out on top.
