Game of two halves: "The first half performance was one of best so far this season; Valencia are a good side and they put us under pressure but we were solid in defence".

Ballon d'Or: "Modric deserves it. You only have to look at the season he had last year, he put Croatia in the World Cup final almost singlehandedly. It's a great time to recognize what a brilliant player he is".
