Deported Boca Juniors ultra: "I was only going to spend Christmas in Spain..."

Maxi Mazzaro was deported back to Argentina after being identified and arrested in Madrid: "I wasn't going to go to the Bernabéu, I haven't been to a stadium in five years".

Maxi Mazzaro is now back on Argentinean soil. The infamous Boca Juniors Barra brava was deported after beign identified by Spanish police at Madrid airport but has come out with an excuse to justify his presence in the Spanish capital.

Detained Argentine ultra "wasn't planning Bernabéu trip"

"I wasn't going to go to the stadium. I was on holiday, planning to spend Christmas with my family in Barcelona", Mazzaro explained after being asked about Sunday's Copa Libertadores final return leg between River Plate and Boca Juniors.

Mazzaro went on to add: "I haven't been to a football stadium in five years, I couldn't care less about Rafa Di Zeo. I am not fighting with anyone. It's all in the past. I was not planning going to the stadium, I was with my family", and underlined his position, stating that his card is marked with Boca president Daniel Angelici, "He's had me under control for a long time now".

The Boca ultra says he feels persecuted and the victim of "a campaign against me and my family".
