Cristiano Ronaldo grabs Serie A scoring record
The Juventus striker went ahead of Rui Barros as he grabbed his 13th Serie A goal of the season.
Update:
Cristiano Ronaldo was on the scoresheet within two minutes of the start of the Juventus v Sampdoria game in Turin on Saturday afternoon. The Portuguese striker picked the ball up on the left-hand corner of the box, controlled and fired it across Audero and into the far corner.
Ronaldo hits 13 goals in Serie A
That's Ronaldo's 13th goal in Serie A this season, and puts him level top of the scoring charts in the competition alongside Krzysztof Piatek of Genoa.
It also means Ronaldo claims the record as the Portuguese player with most goals in a Serie A season, beating Rui Barrios' 12 goals for Juventus in the 1988-89 season.
Ronaldo later converted a penalty for a Ferrari handball for his 14th goal of the Serie A campaign, making it 2-1 to Juventus at that stage.
