Atlético fans divided: "Less Morata, more Borja Garcés"
During the first half of the Getafe game, Atlético ultras chanted against the club signing the ex-Real Madrid striker but the rest of the stadium didn't share their view.
"Less Morata, more Borja Garcés" was the chant struck up by ultras in the south section of the Wanda Metropolitano during the first half of this afternoon's league meeting with Getafe. It appears that not all Atlético Madrid fans would be happy to see the Chelsea striker, and former Real Madrid player, join the club.
Those for and against Morata joining Atleti
The chant was repeated several times but on each occasion, it was met by whistles in response from other parts of the stadium - the majority clearly not in agreement with the fondo sur. Reserve team striker Borja Garcés is on the subs' bench and Diego Simeone has fiercely ruled out the possibility of the 19-year-old leaving in spite of all of the offers he has received during the winter transfer window. It appears that Morata, who could be Atleti's first signing of the January window, has Rojiblanco fans divided.
