PSG: Luciano Acosta on verge of joining from DC United
According to the Washington Post, the Argentinean midfielder is in Paris to tie up a deal worth €6m as an emergency replacement for Neymar.
Paris Saint-Germain are finalising a deal for DC United attacking midfielder Luciano Acosta, according to the Washington Post.
Thomas Tuchel is in the market for a replacement for Neymar, who is expected to be out of action for up to 10 weeks with a foot injury, and after being rebuffed by Arsenal’s Mesut Özil the German tactician has turned his attention to Acosta, who is reportedly in Paris to put pen to paper for a fee of six million euros.
Acosta tipped for Argentina call-up
The 24-year-old Argentinean was named in the MLS Best Xi in 2018 and has been in excellent form for DC United after starting out at Boca Juniors.
Although he has yet to appear for his country at any level, Acosta has been tipped as a future international and a move to PSG will do his chances no harm ahead of the 2019 Copa América.
