Luis Enrique's potential newbies: Canales, Parejo, De Tomás...

Luis Enrique will speak to the press on Friday for the first time in 2019 as he announces his first squad of the year for upcoming games against Norway and Malta. Spain will begin their Euro 2020 qualification campaign on March 23 against Norway at the Mestalla in Valencia and against Malta in Valletta on March 26.

In goal, Iker Casillas was not included in the list of 62 players Luis Enrique has been keeping an eye on but that does not exclude him 100%. Brais Mendez was included in the squad during the last international break having missed out on the long list created by the manager.

At the back, Ramos is unquestionable and Íñigo Martínez has been put on the shortlist and could feature due to Diego Llorente's injury. Yeray could also make the squad. The left-hand side of defense is taken care of with Jordi Alba and Jose Luis Gaya with a space open on the right thanks to Deni Carvajal's injury.

In the middle, there are expected to be changes with the likes of Canales, Parejo, Oyarzabal, Sarabia or Muniain vying for a place. All eyes are on Isco's place in the squad and whether he will keep it. He has not been playing for Real Madrid recently but has been a main fixture in the national team until now and while Luis Enrique says there is no doubt about his quality, he might not be ready to play.

Up front, Rodrigo (Valencia) and Morata will make the list. The third striker's position has competition with Raúl de Tomás, Borja Iglesias, Jaime Mata and Santi Mina all in with a shout. Chances are that it will be one of the first three mentioned.
