Just four clubs remain alive in the Champions League and are still capable of doing a domestic league and Cup double in their respective countries.

Only 4 clubs: Manchester City, Barcelona, Porto and Ajax have a chance of winning the treble

The season is about to enter its decisive stage and domestic and European competitions will be put on hold for the final international break of the campaign. At this stage, only four clubs in Europe are still in with a chance of winning a League, Cup and Champions League treble - Manchester City, Barcelona, Porto and Ajax. No team in Germany, Italy or France can win the treble - even one which includes the Europa League. The only clubs who could do that 'silver treble' - should they go all the way in the Europa League are Benfica and Slavia Prague.

City and Barcelona's treble chances

Right now, Manchester City and Barcelona best placed to win all three competitions this season. Both clubs, along with Juventus (who were knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Atalanta), are the big favourites to win the Champions League. Pep Guardiola's team have already collected their first piece of silverware of the season - the EFL Carabao Cup and are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup (they face Brighton at Wembley on the first weekend of April). Barça meanwhile, are already in the Copa del Rey final - they will contest the trophy with Valencia in Seville on 25 May.

The their respective league, things aren't quite the same for City and Barça. With seven games left in the Premier League, City are two points behind Liverpool with a game in hand. Valverde's Barcelona however, are 10 points clear of their nearest rivals Atlético with 10 games to go in LaLiga Santander.

Porto neck and neck with Benfica

In Portugal, Porto are level with Benfica on 63 points at the top of the league table with six games left to play. Both could meet in the Taça de Portugal final. Iker Casillas and Porto go into the return leg of the semis with a 3-0 advantage over Braga while Benfica are ahead in their tie with a 2-1 result from the first leg against Sporting Clube.

Ajax with it all to do in the league

Treble outsiders Ajax will need a big slice of good fortune if they are to go on an win the treble - they, along with Barça are the only clubs to have ever completed the treble (Ajax in 1971-2, Barcelona in 2008-9 then again in 2014-15). They'll need to be at their best this time though - the Ajacied are in the KNVB Cup final, (they will face Willem II on 5 May) but in the Eredivisie they trail PSV Eindhoven by five points with eight matches remaining.
