Jose Mourinho speaks about Real Madrid and rejecting offers

The Portuguese coach spoke to BeIN Sports France and discussed his plans for a potential return to football.

Update:
Jose Mourinho speaks about Real Madrid and rejecting offers

José Mourinho spoke to Bein Sports France and analysed his plans for the future and the complexities facing the modern day coach.

Jose Mourinho's future?: "I am open to a move to a club where I've never been before, a place where I've yet to win titles. I've only been out of the game for slightly more than two months and am preparing myself for the next challenge. I'm not taking any holiday but am giving conferences on the game on a daily basis and watching games. I would like to be back at a club in June and have time to plan pre-season. I know exactly what I don't want and to that end I've rejected three or four offers and I do have a good idea of what I do want which is not necessarily the name of the club but a style of working. I know what I want and that's what I'm hoping for".

Time at Real Madrid: "I'm not great with stats. but I'm sure that before my time there, Madrid were not even reaching the quarter final stage of the Champions League. They performed well in the group stage and were then eliminated in the next round. I remember my first season there and we had to face Lyon in the Round of 16 and the club were terrified. Lyon were a decent side but there was a fear of getting knocked out. We managed to prevail and reached the semi-final stage that year only to lose on penalties. We came close but we did put the club back on the map. Later under Ancelotti the club would go on to win the title. If one stays at a club for three years and leave nothing that means you've done nothing. In my case it was three years leaving a solid structure in place, a philosophy and a tactical nous. Then new players come in and under a coach like Carlo and of course the merit is all for them".

Desire to win: "What is the point in having a philosophy if it doesn't involve winning. My best title is always the next one that I'l win".
