Marc-André ter Stegen says he feels right at home living in Barcelona and is a big fan not just of the relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle but also of public transport. He explained his simple tastes at an event in a branch of El Corte Inglés in the Condal City this afternoon.

“I’m just a normal guy. I like relaxing and watching the world go by in a café just like everyone else here does. I’m enjoying my time here in Barcelona, I’ve adapted to life in the city really well. And I love the metro… honestly! It’s much quicker than travelling by car”.

The German keeper modestly quipped that he gets around on the city's underground train system using the 10-journey T-10 metro ticket, rather than the pricier monthly bono card: “Yes, I’ve got one of those – it’s got two journeys left on it!” he admitted, to laughs and applause.
