Neymar to have final word on any possible Madrid deal
Despite the Brazilian player moving to the Spanish capital remaining a long shot, Neymar's name remains linked with Real Madrid as the summer transfer market lurks closer.
Despite the current campaign still not reaching its conclusion, Real Madrid's transfer targets appear to be well defined: Jovic in the striking role with Hazard playing behind the front line, Pogba and Eriksen for the midfield with the already Militao brought in to shore up the defence.
The name of Neymar still remains linked with the LaLiga side with Florentino Perez aware of the player's media profile, something that is not lost on PSG club directors with a move to Madrid always appearing to be a long shot...with any potential move to the Spanish capital needing the blessing of the player himself.
Wagner Ribeiro has been spotted in Madrid over the past few weeks, Ribiero was the representative who ultimately oversaw Neymar's move from Santos to Barcelona despite previous negotiations with Real Madrid. The agent remains a close friend of Neymar's father and still maintains links with Florentino Pérez.
Decider
“Neymar is swimming in gold at PSG”, claimed a contact close to Neymar to AS recently, adding: “He's happy in the fine city of París and happy with his squad mates”. He concluded stating: “Any move to Real Madrid cannot go ahead without the players consent and that would need Neymar telling Nasser Al Khelaifi that he wants to move".
Neymar's current deal with PSG expires in 2022 with the player on a salary of 36 million euro per season. Contacts close to the Brazilian admit that the striker will have the final word on any move to Real Madrid acknowledging, "The move will happen when he wants it to" and at present it appears that the immediate future for the Brazilian remains in the "City of light".
