Atleti scout Joao Félix in Benfica title winning game
The 19-year-old Portuguese striker is one of the candidates to replace the departing Antoine Griezmann at Atletico Madrid.
Joao Félix is one of the major emerging talents in Portuguese football with his Benfica side claiming the Liga NoS title at the Estadio Da Luz with a 4-1 win over Santa Clara this weekend, with the 19-year-old bagging the second goal on the night.
The game was attended by scouts representing many major European sides and local Portuguese sports daily A Bola report that Atletico Madrid were among the represented clubs.
The Madrid based side have been attending a number of games this season in the Portuguese capital with other promising Benfica talents in Grimaldo and 21-year-old defender Rubén Días being linked with moves to the LaLiga side.
Joao Félix, however is the player creating the headlines with his 120 million euro buy out clause still not a deterrent for the likes of Juventus who have been strongly linked with the teenager along with both Manchester outfits.
