Chris Wondolowski became an MLS record holder after scoring four goals in San Jose Earthquakes' 4-1 victory over Chicago Fire, where he reached 148 goals to become the league's top scorer, breaking Landon Donovan's record.

Captain America sent him a message as he was one of the first to congratulate Wondo for becoming the top Major League Soccer scorer and reminded him that he did it first.

Donovan message to Wondo

"Wondo, Landon Donovan here, I was hoping this day wouldn't happen, but you deserved it, you earned it. Congratulations! I'm happy to pass the torch."

"You did it in much less time, much fewer games than I did, which makes me sad. But I'm very happy for you, man, congrats, great job, you have a great career inspired us all; I'm happy for you, buddy."
