Gregg Berhalter announced the preliminary USMNT roster
The 40 names chosen for the provisional Gold Cup roster have been unveiled as the United States gets ready for the summer tournament.
The United States Men's National Team is preparing for the forthcoming Gold Cup, which is the 15th edition of the tournament. The Stars and Stripes squad is planning ahead of the tournament with Gregg Berhalter calling-up 40 players in a provisional roster in its quest for the US team to add to their seven titles.
The USMNT is in Group D and will face Panama, Trinidad & Tobago, and Guyana with the US side favorite of the group expecting them to finish the first stage at the top of the group.
Christian Pulisic is one of the key names in the preliminary list after his record-breaking transfer to Chelsea which makes him the third most expensive signing in the Blues history. Pulisic' quality and his scoring skills will be an important asset for the States in the summer tournament.
Michael Bradley its another key name with his experience set to be vital for the US side as they aim to reach their goal of becoming the Gold Cup champions.

The United States will seek to defend their 2017 Gold Cup title, winning the final against Jamaica with goals from Jozy Altidore and Jordan Morris.
