The stage was set in Real Betis' home ground the Benito Villamarin in Seville for the 2019 final. Ernesto Valverde led out his LaLiga champions as they went in search of a domestic double, in a bid to erase, at least in part, the Champions League nightmare of Anfield. Valencia stood in their way, and Marcelino had his side primed to spoil the party.
