Gregg Berhalter and the USMNT lost its undefeated streak in their first pre-Gold Cup friendly against Jamaica, a squad that was seeking to revenge the last Gold Cup final where United States took the victory.

From the start, the Reggae Boyz sought the control of the ball, while the Bars and Stripes side was struggling to find themselves comfortable on the pitch, however, they did have some chances in front of Andre Blake's net.

This game at Audi Field was the perfect opportunity for Berhalter to try out his players before making the big cut to the list, and decide which 23 players will be going to the summer tournament.

In the other end, Jamaica had one task at hand, to beat the United States after losing to them on the last Gold Cup, and the Caribbean team succeed by testing the soon to be Fortuna Dusseldorf goalie, Zack Steffen, on multiple occasions, but the Reggae Boyz couldn't find the back of Steffen's net on the first half.

But things would change for the second part, as Shamar Nicholson strike a fantastic goal following Wil Trapp turnover in the midfield, to give Jamaica the 1-0 lead at the 60th minute.

The USMNT pushed for the equalizer, but the constant moves to the lineup by both strategist broke the game's fluidity preventing the American squad from finding a way to score, but in the last minutes of the game, Josh Sargent had the best chance to score pressing Blake to make a diving save that prevented the US attempt.

On Sunday, the USMNT will face Venezuela at Cincinnati and for this game, Gregg Berhalter will have the definite squad that he'll be taking to the Gold Cup.
