Those led by Gregg Berhalter did not convince in its debut against Guyana despite beating them 4-0. However, they showed a better face in their second match against Trinidad & Tobago earning a 6-0 win, which gave them the confidence to seek to close their group perfectly.

Panama started its Gold Cup participation in the right way by defeating Trinidad & Tobago 2-0; however, they showed some defensive deficiencies against Guyana, conceding two goals in their 4-2 victory.

Panama seeks for the tournament's big surprise and get the Group D leadership by beating the USMNT in the last group stage match. United States has failed to convince with its style of play; however, it has proven to be effective as they are going through a perfect path in the tournament with two wins out of two.
