In its third preseason friendly, Real Madrid’s preparations for the 2026/27 season continue against Italian club Fiorentina today.
In its third outing of the preseason period, Real Madrid faces Serie A side Fiorentina in Austria today. In recent days, José Mourinho’s side defeated Alcorcón (1-0) and Leganés (4-1) in a pair of friendlies that were played largely behind closed doors at Valdebebas. The clash against Fiorentina will be Los Blancos’ first preseason match to be broadcast live and in full.
Several academy prospects are again expected to play prominent roles against Fiorentina, although a number of first-team players should also see significant minutes. Several World Cup participants remain unavailable, including Brahim Díaz, Vinícius Júnior and Bernardo Silva, but they are expected to rejoin the squad next week. Dean Huijsen will also miss the match due to a minor physical issue, while Franco Mastantuono is set to leave Madrid. Young striker Carlos Espí, a $27 million signing from Levante, is expected to be one of the main attractions of the preseason contest.
