LAFC & Seattle Sounders only two MLS teams unbeaten at home
The MLS 2019 season is halfway through, with clubs needing to step up if they want a place in the post-season. LAFC and Sounders are the only two left unbeaten at home.
The MLS is now beyond the halfway point of the regular season, with the leaders shaping up, although there's still a lot of time to go in the campaign.
Now it's the time where teams below the play-off line to start presenting themselves as real candidates if they want to be in the post-season, as the error margin is no longer as open as it used to be a few weeks ago.
However, there are only two teams left unbeaten at home, Los Angeles FC and Seattle Sounders, who sit first and second in the Western Conference with 46 and 35 points, respectively.
Seattle rank first in points at home with 187 over the last five MLS seasons, tied with the New York Red Bulls for most home wins with 58.
Meanwhile, LAFC have become the team to follow after 20 games played in this 2019 season, with a record of 14 wins, two losses and four draws, besides having 53 goals in favour for 17 against, to be atop of the MLS standings.
