Bale returns to group training after missing Munich trip
Jovic, who hurt his knee against Atlético, worked on the field while James, Casemiro and Militao continue their integration back into squad training.
Luka Jovic, the serbian striker, who hurt his knee during the preseason game against Atlético, returned to the field at Valdebebas on Thursday. It was Madrid's first session after returning from Munich where they played Spurs and Fenerbahce.
Gareth Bale also returned to the group having missed the trip to Germany because he didn't feel well. The Welsh attacker made headlines by playing a round of golf despite not travelling to Munich because "he didn't feel well" according to Zidane. "I hope he trained," said the manager when told about Bale's round of golf.
Casemiro and Militao along with James continued their integration back into the squad after the Copa América also. None of them travelled to Munich but worked out with an eye on speeding up their return with Red Bull Leipzig and Roma friendlies coming in the next week.
Marco Asensio, Ferland Mendy, Brahim Díaz and Thibaut Courtois continued their respective treatments and Díaz and Courtois were on the field taking part in individual drills.
The team will train again on Saturday at 10:00 local time at Valdebebas with the session closed off to the public.
