REAL MADRID CASTILLA

Raúl suffers first loss as manager of Real Madrid Castilla

Peña Deportiva, surprising leader of the group, hand Raúl his first loss as manager of Real Madrid Castilla as they get off to a poor start to their season.

Update:
Raúl suffers first loss as manager of Real Madrid Castilla

Raúl could only hang on to his unbeaten his record as the manager of Real Madrid Castilla. They were beaten 2-0 on Sunday in Ibiza against Peña Deportiva, the surprise leaders of Group I in the Segunda Division after three games. He took over with the objective being to get the team promoted to the Segunda division but that hasn't started as planned.

Playing on an artificial pitch for the first time in Santa Eulalia, Madrid's reserves never got going. They were behind after nine minutes when Fran Núñez fired past Altube in goals. They had their chances but couldn't finish them. In the 9th minute of the second half, they conceded again, this time though Marc Fraile.

It was Real Madrid's third game of the season after drawing with Las Rozas in the first game 1-1. They beat Marino de Luanco in the second game but slipped down into midtable with the loss on Sunday.

They play Langreo next weekend on Saturday in Valdebebas (20:00 CEST) in an effort to rectify what was a lesson from the Ibiza-based side.
