Zidane meets up with Paul Pogba in Dubai
UK outlet 'Daily Mirror' published a photograph of the Madrid coach with the United player during the recent international break.
Zinedine Zidane availed of the recent international break to travel to Dubai. The initial motive for the Real Madrid managers trip was to speak at the Dubai Artificial Intelligence in Sports conference.
The Daily Mirror however reproduced an image that has triggered speculation after the coach met up with Paul Pogba in the largest of the Emirates with the Manchester United player recovering from his injury at the Transform Altitude Centre.
Despite a failed attempt by Real Madrid to sign the French midfielder during the summer, Zidane has not thrown in the towel in the hope of bringing the United player to Madrid with memories of his statement during the summer months fresh in the mind. "Pogba? We know who we want and this is a work in process".
Determined
The UK based outlet maintain that Zidane is still determined to bring his compatriot to the Spanish capital next summer after the disappointment of not getting his man in the summer of 2019 after the LaLiga side refused to pay the 170 million euro fee demanded by the Old Trafford outfit. Pogba himself stated last summer that the time could be right for "a new challenge" and this meeting between both individuals in the Emirates will fuel the fire that a move to the Bernabeu for the player is looming closer.
