Real Madrid's Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño didn't want to focus on Gareth Bale in his post-match analysis of last night's win over Leganés but praised Benzema for his 100th goal at the Bernabéu and had positive things to say about Rodrygo and Vinicius.

Convincing win: "We scored two goals in quick succession and after that, things were not quite so difficult for us. We hardly gifted any chances and we could have scored even more".

Benzema and his 100th goal at the Bernabéu: "We've always said that he's a great player to watch. He's elegant, he links up well with the rest of the team, he's generous... His numbers are magnificent - as is what he brings to the team. He makes everyone around him play better".

Rodrygo and Vinicius: "To be able to play at the Bernabéu at their age, score goals and feel important is a real blessing. They have a lot of personality and talent. You have to make the most of the opportunities you get and they are both doing that. We have to stay with them and protect them during their evolution".

The Gareth Bale issue and his refusal to publish a medical report: "He's a very important player who always brings something to the team when he plays. The boss spoke a lot of the matter yesterday, so there is no need for me to keeping going over it. We have some very difficult games coming up and we are going to need everyone"

Worst attendane figures this season at the Bernabéu: "We're grateful to our fans. A large part of the club's successes are down to being united".
