Barcelona have Czech opposition 13 times. They have won nine, drawn one and lost three times. Their most frequent victim is Sparta Prague, who they have beaten four times in six attempts.
The last time Barcelona dropped points in the Champions League at home was when Spurs drew 1-1 with them back in December of last year. They have since beaten Olympique Lyon, Man United, Liverpool and Inter at Camp Nou.
In the process, they have scored 13 and conceded 2. This is part of Barcelona's issue, however, as they are night and day when they play at home and away.
Barcelona's 7.12 xG at home in LaLiga this season is only good enough for 9th in the table. There is an inability to create good quality chances and a lot of that has to do with the awkward Griezmann fit on the left. They are fourth in xG at home with 12.29, behind Real Madrid, Osasuna and Villarreal.
Valverde also said Slavia Prague will not be taken lightly tonight as you do. You wouldn't expect them to after the last game. If you watched that, you could see that for long spell, Slavia Prague were the much better team and had their foot on Barça's throat at the end. It isn't an overreaction to suggest Prague outplayed them, in fact.
Ernesto Valverde has been forced to field questions about his future since that defeat. It's hard to explain what's wrong with Barça this season but there's something missing. He says "you can't always say what you think", which could mean a number of things. Messi was out for the first month and everyone figured it would get much better when he arrived. It has improved but that loss to Levante saw the ghosts of Barcelona's weak underbelly return to haunt them - especially away from home.
Suárez is out but Dembélé and Umtiti are back in the squad. It might be a rare chance to see Dembélé and Griezmann on the field together tonight.
Asked after the game, Griezmann says it "might be attitude, might be football, could be a bit of everything..." He wasn't bad in the first half but disappeared in the second half of that game at the weekend. Luis Suárez is out tonight so it means Griezmann will probably start as the number nine.
