Barcelona draw a blank against Slavia Prague in the Champions League

Barcelona vs Slavia Prague: as it happened!

GAME OVER!Camp Nou fans aren't happy. Really not a good performance from Barcelona. The speculation surrounding Valverde's job will continue after this one.

Corner launched in and it's a free to Barcelona. A clash of heads as Pique remains down holding his.

Prague attack down the right and it's a corner as the cross is blocked.

Ansu Fati with a perfect passwith the outside of his boot as Messi comes in to poke it into the keeper. Good effort, good save.

Prague win another corner. They haven't been as electric in this half but they remain dangerous on the counter.

Fati gets upturned by Masopust as he slips past him. Free way out on the left.

Griezmann into Vidal and again it's off the mark.

Busquets off for Rakitic.

More attacking from Slavia Prague as they stem the tide.

Dembele races clear. But he is dispossessed so easily.

Stanciu off for Husbauer.

Prague with a rare attack as De Jong heads out for a corner.

Griezmann with a deep cross that Messi takes down. He shoots and it's blocked but he wins it back and wins a free.

That looked like it was surely onside. Referee consulted VAR and it's ruled out.

GOAL! Vidal scores but it's offside. Looks like Messi was onside though.

Griezmann with a ball out over the endline. Nope, nothing doing for him tonight.

Lovely lofted ball again into the box. Sergi Roberto gets on the end of it this time and Kolar saves again. Better from Barcelona.

Slavia Prague attack again but not much coming from their forays forward.

Ball lofted into the box and Vidals falls under pressure from two Slavia Prague players but referee waves away the penalty shout.

Slavia Pragueget to grips with Barcelona again. They attack but a well-timed tackle by Piqué on Masopust sees ball out for a goalkick.

We are back underway.

We have a change at the break. Sergi Roberto replaces Jordi Alba.

GOAL! GOAL! GOAL! Finished by Prague. Finished by Sevcik but he was offside.

Lenglet this time. Another corner.

And another. Piqué heads it and Kolar saves. Another corner.

Speaking of chances, Messi shot saved by Kolar. Corner.

Aswe approach half-time, this game continues to entertain. No massive chances but the football is open and attacking.

Another free for Prague outside the box in a dangerous position.

Prague play the ball forward. Kolar is dispossessed by Vidal. That's the keeper! But Prague survive to break andcross is cleared for a corner.

Messi with an incredible run and shot. He absolutelty clanks one off the crossbar.

End to end now. Olayinka with the cross but he can't keep it in. Goalkick.

Crossed in and its saved by Kolar. Corner. The resulting corner is whipped in and it's Kolar to the rescue again saving at his front post.

Semedo yet again. It's Olayinka he gets the better of this time and the Prague player clips his heel.

Unlucky Semedo. He is causing problems down the right. He crosses and it bounces off a defender, clear and then hits him for a goalkick.

Slavia Prague win a free and Barcelona press them really high. They nearly win it back too but it's back to the keeper and safe.

Olayinka was heavily involved the last day and he continues with that trend tonight. He tries to round Semedo but gets oumuscled and grabs the Portuguese by the shoulders and falls over while conceding the free.

Piqué goes in the book. Olayinka wins it off him and he pulls him down. Advantage played and Prague win a corner but he goes back to punish Piqué.

There's space in behind for Barcelona as Slavia Prague go for it early on.

Griezmann's turn to race forward. He is sent clear and they kepper is off his line to clear again.

Semedo drives forward and Kolar saves with his foot. Barça's best chance to far.

Chance for Slavia Prague. Their first attack and it's dangerously deflected towards goal. Ter Stegen saves and they have a claim for a penalty. It hit Lenglet's chest though and ref rightly waves it away.

We are underway!

Arthur misses out for Barcelona as Arturo Vidal comes in. Luis Suárez too is out and Dembélé makes his return.

Jindrich Trpisovsky has made two changes to the team that played last day. Ibrahim Traoré is in for Zeleny in the attack while Hovorka is replaced by Frydrych at centre-half.

Slavia Prague XI: Kolar; Coufal, Kudela, Frydrych, Boril; Soucek; Sevcik, Traore, Stanciu, Olayinka; Masopust.

Dembélé and Griezmann start up front together for the first time since the opening day of the season when they lost to Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Piqué, Lenglet, Alba, De Jong, Busquets, Vidal, Messi, Griezmann, Dembélé.

Barcelona have Czech opposition 13 times. They have won nine, drawn one and lost three times. Their most frequent victim is Sparta Prague, who they have beaten four times in six attempts.

The last time Barcelona dropped points in the Champions League at home was when Spurs drew 1-1 with them back in December of last year. They have since beaten Olympique Lyon, Man United, Liverpool and Inter at Camp Nou.

In the process, they have scored 13 and conceded 2. This is part of Barcelona's issue, however, as they are night and day when they play at home and away.

Barcelona's 7.12 xG at home in LaLiga this season is only good enough for 9th in the table. There is an inability to create good quality chances and a lot of that has to do with the awkward Griezmann fit on the left. They are fourth in xG at home with 12.29, behind Real Madrid, Osasuna and Villarreal.

Valverde also said Slavia Prague will not be taken lightly tonight as you do. You wouldn't expect them to after the last game. If you watched that, you could see that for long spell, Slavia Prague were the much better team and had their foot on Barça's throat at the end. It isn't an overreaction to suggest Prague outplayed them, in fact.

Ernesto Valverde has been forced to field questions about his future since that defeat. It's hard to explain what's wrong with Barça this season but there's something missing. He says "you can't always say what you think", which could mean a number of things. Messi was out for the first month and everyone figured it would get much better when he arrived. It has improved but that loss to Levante saw the ghosts of Barcelona's weak underbelly return to haunt them - especially away from home.

Suárez is out but Dembélé and Umtiti are back in the squad. It might be a rare chance to see Dembélé and Griezmann on the field together tonight.

Asked after the game, Griezmann says it "might be attitude, might be football, could be a bit of everything..." He wasn't bad in the first half but disappeared in the second half of that game at the weekend. Luis Suárez is out tonight so it means Griezmann will probably start as the number nine.
