Barcelona vs Borussia Dortmund live online: Champions League

Barcelona will play host to Borussia Dortmund at Camp Nou on Wednesday, with both clubs still battling for the top spot in Champions League Group F.

After drawing their opening game 0-0 against the German club, Barcelona have remained unbeaten, with two wins over Inter and Slavia Prague followed by a disappointing goalless draw at home to the Czech outfit.

Chasing their first Champions League title since 2015, El Blaugrana will be eager to finish the group on top and a win against Dortmund will ensure that happens.

Dortmund meanwhile could find themselves in a precarious position should they lose and Inter Milan win their tie against Slavia, which would leave them both level on seven points going into the final match day. Although, Dortmund would have the theoretically easier tie at home to Slavia, while Inter will host Barcelona.

But Lucien Favre’s side will only be focused on recording a first-ever victory over Barcelona, who have been far from their best this season. The under-fire coach is in desperate need of Camp Nou glory with his side currently lying sixth in the Bundesliga, and has reportedly has been warned that this could be his last game in charge should it not go well.

The two clubs have met on three previous occasions, with Barcelona winning once and the other two ties ending in draws. Dortmund have played a competitive European match at Camp Nou only once before – the first leg of the European Supercup final in 1998, which they lost 2-0.

Barcelona vs Borussia Dortmund: Injuries and suspensions

The hosts will be without defenders Jordi Alba and Nelson Semedo through injury, while Luis Suarez makes his return to the fold after missing the Slavia game with an ankle problem. Gerard Pique misses out due to suspension, with Samuel Umtiti likely to step in for the veteran centre back alongside Clement Lenglet, who trained as normal on Monday after he suffered a calf injury against Leganes at the weekend.

Meanwhile for Dortmund, Paco Alcacér will not get a chance to play against his former. The Spaniard has been ruled out because of an injury picked up in the 3-3 draw against Paderborn las Friday. Alcacér is the only player unavailable to Lucien Favre.
