Inter and Barcelona captains to wear anti-racism armbands
Italy is still reeling from the fall-out after last week's "Corriere dello Sport" and their "Black Friday" headline featuring Lukaku and Chris Smalling.
Inter Milan and Barcelona club captains will wear special anti-racism armbands when both sides go head to head next Tuesday at San Siro in the final Group F match of the Champions League group stage.
The initiative was confirmed on Sunday via the Inter official Twitter account with the armband in question revealed which features the slogan "Brothers Universally United (BUU)" along with logos of both clubs and the hashtag #NoToDiscrimination.

Inter added that the drive is: "A special initiative at an important time. Both Inter and Barcelona’s captains will take to the pitch wearing the same captain’s armbands for the Champions League match at San Siro on Tuesday 10 December at 21:00 CET. The two captains will sport armbands in support of FC Internazionale Milano’s initiative “BUU Brothers Universally United - #NoToDiscrimination”
Examples of racist discrimination in Serie A have been numerous this season with the likes of Mario Balotelli, Frank Kessie, Kalidou Koulibaly and Inter's very own Romelu Lukaku suffering from chants at domestic Italian league games.
Matters took a u-turn when sports daily "Corriere dello Sport", issued a poorly conceived front page last week with the headline "Black Friday" alongside pictures of Lukaku and Chris Smalling ahead of Roma's visit to San Siro to face the "nerazurri".
