José Mourinho's Tottenham posted their second consecutive victory in the Premier League but left it late to dramatically pip Wolves to take all three points from this afternoon's game at Molineux. The result moves Spurs up to fifth on 26 points and within three points of Chelsea who hold down the fourth Champions League berth and who they meet next weekend. Mou's men shimmy past Manchester United, who were held by Everton at Old Trafford.

Lucas Moura opened the scoring on eight minutes, beating Wolves keeper Rui Patrico at his near post with a fierce drive. The hosts were back on level terms just after the hour 67 with another fine strike - Adama Traoréunleashing a powerful shot from the edge of the 'D' which flew past Gazzaniga's outstretched hand and inside the post. Wolves were caught napping from a corner on 90 minutes - nobody picked up Jan Vertonghen who was free to meet Christian Eriksen's outswinging corner and nod home the winner.

Mourinho toasts "three incredible points"

Spurs are the first side to beat Wolves in the Premier League since Chelsea who were 2-5 winners at Molineux back on 14 September. A happy Mourinho told BBC Sport after the game, "“I’m very proud and Nuno has to be very proud of their records. They are a very difficult opponent. As I said in my press conference on Friday, tactically they are very strong and physically they are very strong too. Mentally they have great empathy and ambition, very difficult. So we knew that the game was going to be as difficult as it was. That wasn’t a surprise. We had a very good start and we almost had a second goal which might have killed the game off but we hit the post in the biggest chance of the game but then they are very strong. They use the wings then they’ll play through the middle… Adama and Diogo are incredibly fast and difficult to stop. But we coped with that. They are not a team which is satisfied with a point. We knew that we could score in the last part of the game – the goal came and then it was just a question of closing the door for five minutes, to be able to go home with three incredible points”.
