Achraf Hakimi's future remains up in the air, with the Real Madrid-owned full-back this week telling DAZN that he doesn't know what his next move will be when his two-year loan deal with Borussia Dortmund finishes at the end of the season.

"I don't know what will happen in June," Achraf said. "We'll talk about that in the future. Right now I'm focused on Borussia Dortmund, I'm really happy here and I still have four months left on my contract at the club."

"It's always been my dream to play for the Real Madrid first team"

However, the Madrid youth product made it clear that he is eager to establish himself as a Bernabéu regular. "It's always been my dream to play for the Real Madrid first team and train alongside the best in the world," said the Moroccan, who also praised Los Blancos' head coach, Zinedine Zidane: "He made me the footballer I am today. What can be better than learning from one of the best players ever?"

Having been impressed by Achraf's form for Dortmund since his 2018 switch to Signal Iduna Park, Zidane is expected to bring the defender back into the Madrid fold next season, with a final decision to be made in the summer.

Dortmund have clause allowing them to match any offer for Achraf

There are also rumours of interest from Bayern Munich, but Dortmund hold the advantage if Achraf does not return to the Spanish capital: as part of their loan deal for the 21-year-old, the Schwarzgelben have negotiated the right to match any offer that Madrid receive for the player.
