Update:
Cristiano Ronaldo will don a superhero cape in new comic

On more than one occasion Cristiano Ronaldo has appeared to be a genuine superhero. Scoring bicycle kicks, leaping over defenders like Michael Jordan rose towards the basket and pulling his sides back single-handedly to win against the odds. He is, however, just a normal person despite all the evidence that suggests the opposite. But he has been re-created as a superhero for real this time in a new comic series.

He will put on the superhero costume for his new project called Cristiano Ronaldo Striker Force 7. The Portuguese striker's comic series will be released in the United States and it could be released in Spanish too as he finds a new way to tell the stories of his adventures. The player is aware of the influence he has on kids and he considers it an opportunity to appeal to kids of a younger generation.

"The same way that football connects cultures and people around the world," he says. "I think that the biggest cartoon characters and heroes can do the same and that's why I am excited to unite these two passions, football and superheroes, around this project and share with my fans."

They are preparing an animated TV series in India on Facebook Watch. They have teamed up Graphic India and VMS Communications in order to push this project to the public.

Sharad Devarajan, the co-founder of Graphic India, says: "CR7 is a superhero in real life for a whole generation and this new series will unite a whole team of superheroes who are representative of the diversity amongst his millions of fans."
