Brazilian Football Confederation president Rogerio Caboclo has been in contact with Florentino Pérez with the hope that Real Madrid will release three players for this summer's Tokyo Olympics, Globoesporte reports. The CBF want to include Vinicius, Rodrygo and Reinier in the Brazil squad for the Games. Reinier played a key role in helping Brazil book their place at Tokyo 2020 in last month's qualifiers. If Florentino agrees to let all three take part in the tournament, it could be a minor setback for Zidane, who will be without three important players at a key part of the pre-season. The trio would be on international duty from 22 July until 9 August.

Busy summer for Real Madrid's internationals

For Real Madrid, whose first team squad is almost entirely made up of international players, it looks like this could a complicated summer. On top of the Olympic Games, there is Euro 2020. Zidane's plan is for the players who are involved in either of those two tournaments to be gradually reincorporated into the squad on staggered dates - after they have had time to take their holidays. For the Brazilians Reinier, Vinicius and Rodrygo, it would mean missing the start of the league campaign and also would have to miss a large part of their holidays.

Brazil want Neymar at Tokyo Olympics

Globoesporte also reports that Brazil's Olympic team coach Jardine, is also holding talks with PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi, to gain permission to take Neymar to the Games. Neymar was part of the Brazil side which picked up the silver medal at London 2012 and the gold medal at Rio 2016.
