Coronavirus: Héctor Herrera urges Mexico to be more responsible about Covid-19
Diario AS

The coronavirus pandemic has affected a lot of countries in Europe, especially Italy, France and Spain. Other countries like Mexico are barely in phase one of Covid-19 and many athletes who are in Europe want to keep it that way. That is why Héctor Herrera, Atlético Madrid’s midfielder, took to social media to send a message urging people to stay at home to prevent the virus from spreading.

“I would like to send this message to my compatriots in Mexico. I am quarantined at my house in Madrid due to Covid-19 and I want to salute all of you first and I am very thankful for the support you have sent to my social media. Also I want to urge all of you in Mexico to be responsible and to stay at home to prevent this pandemic from spreading in our country. Trust me my brothers if the people in Spain could go back in time and be more responsible we would’ve done it, this is not a joke please be very responsible.

“I understand and admire the people from Mexico because we believe that nothing can hurt us, many think they will not get sick, maybe not, hopefully not but let's think about our families and our elders, who are the most vulnerable. Let’s stay together in this and be responsible please, stay at home and don’t look at it as a vacation.”
