Gary Neville has announced that he will open Football Hotel and offer up its 176 beds to NHS' medical staff during the coronavirus pandemic.

The former Manchester United player owns Football Hotel along with Ryan Giggs and the Sky Sports football pundit took to Twitter to announce the move. He also said he would not be asking his staff to take unpaid leave or laying off any of his staff either.

"It is something we are delighted to have been able to come to an agreement with," Neville said in a video posted on Twitter.

"It is at this moment in time that the whole of our industry needs to show solidarity, not just for our staff in these uncertain times, but for the people who need the accommodation most in the coming months," Neville said.

"Our staff will operate the hotel as normal when health workers are allowed to stay there without any cost whatsoever when they need isolation away from family members who might be affected," explained Neville.
