The coronavirus pandemic has led to many leagues around the world being postponed to prevent it from spreading among the public. But some countries have decided to ignore the risk and have kept going normally with their domestic tournaments.

The major leagues around the world are on hold due to Covid-19 but 24 other leagues are still disputing the title of their domestic leagues that adopted other measures to stop the virus from spreading in their countries.

For example, in Belarus their president Aleksander Lukashenko was asked why their league kept on going and he said that the best thing for their players was to hit the sauna, drink vodka and work hard. Below are the countries that are continuing their domestic leagues in spite of the Covid-19 threat.

Europe

This week the Turkish and Russian leagues were finally postponed but Belarus has kept on going, disregarding the coronavirus threat. It is the only active league in Europe.

America

Last Thursday Brazil decided to postpone their league and no other South American country is currently having sports due to the coronavirus threat. In Central America the majority of the countries have stopped all of their games except for Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Asia

The continent where everything started has decided to keep some sport going with their Yokary League and the Premier League of Singapore. They each held several games on Friday and other countries like Hong Kong and Palestine are continuing their leagues besides being one of the most affected parts of the planet.

Africa

This is the continent where we can see most football going on. A total of 13 countries within the continent are going to be hosting matches this weekend. Only Cameroon and Angola decided to take some measures to prevent the virus from spreading.

Oceania

Even though many cases are being reported in that continent the game between Melbourne City and Central Coast will be played for the week 24 of the A-League without any extreme measures. Other matches like the one between Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory are being quarantined due to a high threat spreading alert.
