Real Madrid were crowned LaLiga champions on Thursday after being Villarreal 2-1 at the Alfredo di Stéfano on Thursday and will see out the 2019/20 domestic season as guests of Leganés on Sunday night. The game might seem a formality for the champions but Zidane will be keen to ensure that his side maintain their 100% record and make it a clean sweep of victories, 11 from 11, since LaLiga resumed. Zidane will also want to make sure that his players keep their healthy appetite for winning with next month's Champions League date with Manchester City looming.

For that reason he named a strong, 22-man squad for the game - with a few notable absentees, Gareth Bale, James and Eden Hazard won't be making the trip.

Tomorrow's result will be irrelevant to Real Madrid in terms of where they end up finishing in the table but that is certainly not the case for Leganés. The Pepineros are locked in a relegation battle with Celta Vigo, who are one point and one place above them in 17th and travel to the already-relegated Espanyol. For Javier Aguirre's Lega, who kept their survival chances alive with a 0-2 win at Athletic Club three days ago, they need a win against Madrid and hope Celta either lose or draw at Espanyol. That is the only way of guaranteeing their safety as their head-to-head record with Celta is level but the Galicians have a superior goal difference.

Leganés have beaten Real Madrid twice in recent seasons, on both occasions in the Copa del Rey but they have never managed a win over their neighbours in LaLiga.
