Real Madrid were crowned LaLiga champions on Thursday after being Villarreal 2-1 at the Alfredo di Stéfano on Thursday and will see out the 2019/20 domestic season as guests of Leganés on Sunday night. That is the only way of guaranteeing their safety as their head-to-head record with Celta is level but the Galicians have a superior goal difference.
Leganés have beaten Real Madrid twice in recent seasons, on both occasions in the Copa del Rey but they have never managed a win over their neighbours in LaLiga.
