Real Madrid: Kovac wants to take Luka Jovic to join him in Monaco
The Croatian coach is reportedly looking to be reunited with the striker that he managed in Frankfurt, but the player is said to be focused on Manchester City.
The arrival of Niko Kovac to the dugout of AS Monaco has meant that the transfer market of the Ligue 1 club has moved its main focus to the Bundesliga. The former Eintracht Frankfurt coach is looking to strengthen his new team with players he knows well from his time in Germany… and one of them is Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic.
Jovic to be reunited with Kovac?
According to France Football Kovac may have already convinced the striker to sign for Monaco, although the player’s representatives have since denied there being any agreement, stating that Jovic is fully focused on his role at the LaLiga champions ahed of the Champions League clash against Manchester City.

The report from the French magazine adds that Monaco are in a financial position to undertake his signing, although they would likely not pay as much as the €60 million that Madrid handed Eintracht for his services in 2019.
Kovac, who replaced Spaniard Robert Moreno at Monaco several weeks ago, coached Luka Jovic in Frankfurt, where they won the German Cup in 2018. The Croatian will also look towards West Ham’s Sébastien Haller if Ben Yedder's departure from the principality is confirmed.
