DNC 2020 Day 4: Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Tammy Duckworth and Tammy Baldwin among speakers
The final day of the Democratic National Convention takes place tonight with the former Vice-President speaking to accept the Democratic nomination for November's presidential election
The fourth and final night of the Democratic National Convention takes place today Thursday, with the event starting at 21:00 Eastern Time (18:00 Pacific Time) and lasting two hours through to 23:00 (20:00).
Due to the coronavirus pandemic the Convention this year is a virtual one with the Dems dubbing it the 'Convention Across America'.
Who is speaking on Day 4 of the Democratic National Convention
The key speaker tonight will of course be former Vice-President under President Barack Obama, Joe Biden, who will be formally accepting the party's nomination as presidential candidate.
It's expected Biden will be upbeat and positive, with an address to the party, but also more importantly the nation, stressing how he would turn things around as President.
Last night former President Barack Obama focused on heavily criticising current President Donald Trump, meaning Biden can avoid getting into a mud-slinging match with the incumbent (who would presumably like nothing more) and focus on a more uplifting message.
The line up also includes:
New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker
Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg
California Gov. Gavin Newsome
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms
Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin
Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth
Delaware Senator Chris Coons
Entrepreneur Andrew Yang
Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg
Also joining Joe Biden will be his family, and according to the Dem's YouTube channel Vice-Presidential nominee Kamala Harris will also feature tonight, even though she already spoke last night as she accepted the VP nomination.
Where to watch Day 4 of the DNC
You can follow Biden's acceptance and all the other speeches live on the DNC's website, and also on their social media channels including YouTube. CNN, MSNBC and Fox News will be showing the entirety of proceedings with analysis before and after while the main networks will be tuning in for the final hour.
DNC after-party
