Inter Miami in negotiations with Gonzalo Higuaín

Gonzalo Higuain's future could be in Major League Soccer after David Beckham’s Inter Miami reportedly entered into talks with the Juventus striker. The Argentine’s contract with the Serie A club ends in 2021, but the Old Lady board have already informed him that he is free to find a club for the upcoming season as Juve seek a new striker.

According to FIFA.com reporter Abdellah Boulma, the 32-year-old striker is in advanced discussions to join Inter Miami. The same source also confirmed that Higuaín has offers from other clubs on the table.

Other MLS clubs have shown interest

Higuaín has enjoyed a successful career in Europe since leaving River Plate in 2007 to join Real Madrid, where he spent six seasons. There he played a total of 190 games and scored 107 goals. The striker has also played for Napoli, Juventus, Milan, and Chelsea, the last two teams on loan.

As well as Inter Miami it has been reported that Los Angeles Galaxy and D.C. United have shown interest in the striker, who has bagged more than 300 goals during his career. If Higuaín joins Inter Miami he would be reunited with his former Juventus teammate Blaise Matuidi.
