Chicharito failing to make a difference

Javier Hernández arrived this season to LA Galaxy as the most important player, filling in the gap that Zlatan Ibrahimovic left after two seasons in Major League Soccer. The Mexican striker is having a tough time making a difference with his new team because in six games he has only scored one goal.

Having come back from an injury suffered in the MLS is Back tournament, Chicharito started for the second game in a row. Hernández had played a little more than 60 minutes in LA Galaxy’s loss against Real Salt Lake on Wednesday and on Sunday against Seattle he played the entire game.

Cristian Roldán the player of the game

Seattle Sounders came, saw and conquered Carson, California on Sunday night. Early in the game in the 12 minute, Cristian Roldán would score the first one of the night. Seattle seemed comfortable with the ball and in the 38th minute Jordan Morris scored the second for the visiting team.

The second half started with the same tempo, Seattle being more dangerous than LA Galaxy, and Roldán would score his second goal of the game in the 61st minute. With LA Galaxy losing 3-0 they went all out attack to at least try to score a goal. It was not until the 87th minute when Sebastian Lletget headed the ball for the home team’s only goal of the night.

The referee blew the whistle to end the game and Seattle took the three points with the final score of 3-1 over the LA Galaxy. The Los Angeles team are going to have to bounce back quickly because they face the San Jose Earthquakes next Saturday.
