According to SER Catalunya programme Què t'hi Jugues, Barça have placed another offer for Manchester City's 19-year-old centre-back Eric García, who came up through the youth teams in La Masia. The Azulgranas have tabled an eight million euros bid for the defender plus a further two in add-ons. García will be out of contract in June 2021. City however, want 20 million, a fee which Barcelona are not willing to pay. If the situation doesn't change, Eric García will remains with City  for the rest of the season and join on a free transfer in June. The player has told Manchester City that he wants to leave. Guardiola has also increased the number of central defenders in the squad with new arrivals Ruben Dias and Aké, who join Laporte and Stones.

Fulham and Everton interested in Todibo

One of the key issues in the operation is raising the cash before deadline day. Barça could find the money to buy Eric García by selling Jean-Clair Todibo who, according to ESPN, is on Fulham's agenda. Todibo could be sold for a similar fee to City's asking price for Eric García. Everton have also enquired about Todibo's situation but have not made any offer. Deadline day is approaching and Koeman has admitted that he needs to bring in at least one more central defender. Barça's finances, which are stretched to the limit, complicate this final week of the transfer window.
