Current Bundesliga and Champions League kings Bayern Munich take on Borussia Dortmund at Signa Iduna Park in what promises to be a thrilling match between the two teams who are tied on 15 points at the top of the division (five wins, one defeat), with the Bavarians only ahead on goal difference.

Bayern have been looking unbeatable, especially after the international break, thrashing Arminia Bielefeld, Atlético Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt. And even if they had to work harder to grab victories lately, they came back to old routine by hammering Salzburg in Austria in the Champions League, scoring four goals in 13 minutes.

For the match between the two German powerhouses, Borussia’s coach Lucian Favre will need former Bayern defender Matts Hummels to be fit again, since he won’t be able to line up Emre Can, who tested positive for coronavirus, nor Dan-Axel Zagadou and Marcel Schmelzer, both with knee injuries. Due to this situation, Favre might put Axel Witsel in the back line.

Haaland, who has scored 14 goals in 11 Champions League games and five goals in five matches in Bundesliga, is the biggest menace for the Bavarian outfit.

As for Bayern, Niklas Süle hasn’t traveled to Dortmund due to Covid-19, while Alphonso Davies will probably be unavailable for a few weeks due to an ankle ligament injury suffered during the match against Eintracht last month.

On the other hand, Hans-Dieter Flick could make Corentin Tolisso play again after the French midfielder was sent off against Arminia, while Leon Goretzka took a knock to the ankle during the team's training, but he should be fine to play.

Leroy Sané or Kingsley Coman could join Serge Gnabry along with Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski in attack.
